The origin of Plug and Play Fintech in Silicon Valley stemmed from a casual monthly blockchain meet-up with a small group of Fintech enthusiasts. As the meet-up started to gather different members of the Fintech ecosystem, Plug and Play Fintech was launched in 2015 to gather startups and insights in the emerging blockchain space and across other Fintech sub-sectors.

Fast forward to today, our Fintech Program is currently in 10 locations globally, and is Plug and Play's second-largest program in terms of corporate partnerships and investments made. We work with the world's largest financial institutions around the world and work with their teams to implement solutions in spaces such as Open Banking, Payments, Trade Finance, Wealth Management, and many more.
Our Fintech Programs in APAC
Singapore
We launched our Fintech Program in Singapore in August of 2018 to expand our startup sourcing capabilities and corporate engagement to South-East Asia. Singapore was an ideal location for a Fintech office due to its regulatory leadership in financial services, close proximity with other countries in the ASEAN region, and vibrant startup and corporate ecosystems.

The Fintech ecosystem in Indonesia is distributed to various sectors such as payment, lending, wealth management, personal finance, aggregator, crowdfunding, POS system and also accounting. GK-Plug and Play Indonesia has worked with large corporations and financial institutions to implement solutions offered by our startups.
